Tribute to Robin Tamang
The Concert will feature a one off performance from Ka zuki JJ featuring @siskapole and Layasutra. The revenue generated from the concerts will go towards promoting and supporting Nepalese musical and cultural links between Nepal and the United Kingdom and the charity Dystonia UK.
Kazuki JJ’s music is a captivating fusion of diverse genres, including ska, rock, funk, reggae, and even chill romantic tunes. Their sonic experimentation doesn’t stop there; they occasionally introduce elements of ethnic drums and percussion, seamlessly integrating Nepali instruments into their compositions. This creative diversity sets them apart in the international music scene, offering a unique listening experience that’s both exhilarating and soul-stirring.
The band’s journey has been marked by remarkable achievements. Their EP, released on July 1, 2017, quickly gained widespread popularity, and their fervent fanbase led to the creation of Kazuki JJ merchandise, including distinctive T-shirts that now find homes in the wardrobes of fans across Nepal, Europe, and the UK.
In 2020, Kazuki JJ added another feather to their cap by securing the first prize at the prestigious Talents of Europe, an international art festival and contest held in Spain. Their recognition as an original and genre-defying band was celebrated on this grand stage, solidifying their position in the global music landscape.
As of the present day, the band is immersed in crafting their second album, “Arr Ki Paar,” with added studio sessions for their upcoming album “Pay Back.” promising even more enchanting music on the horizon. JJ is leading most of the recording sessions, reworking both new and old tunes. Previously, Kazuki JJ primarily wrote songs in Nepali, https://youtu.be/Ib09ORNMH_U?si=rnJ9blDI_IfQ5J3J but as their music gained international traction, they transitioned to writing and reworking songs in English, embracing a more global mindset in their musical endeavours.
Kazuki JJ’s unique blend of sound and unwavering commitment to their craft makes them a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. Their journey is an inspiration to musicians and fans alike, exemplifying the boundless potential of artistic expression in connecting people and cultures worldwide.
Layasutra is a Nepalese funk fusion band made up of vocalists Narendra Pun and Various band members. One of our most successful programs involved a string of events all over the UK featuring a performance from the popular Nepalese comedian Maha Jodi which sold out, live concert of legendary blues band Mukti N Revival as well as Cobweb, Newaz,Robin and the new revolution and many different popular bands.
Layasutra have been active since 2002 and have already released one album (San-Ya-Se). The band is also popular in the non-mainstream scene because of their exceptional live performance.
